Printing in the Digital Design Studios
Colour printing works through the Pharos system, with a printer located in 0C48, and other Pharos printers available in the Library at Bower Ashton. B&W printing is free, while colour printing is charged at the standard rate.

Transparency Printing In The Digital Design Studios
We have Pharos BW printers situated in the 0C48, at Bower Ashton. They operate on a similar system to the Pharos printers in the Library and DDS. They print on transparency material (Frosted or Clear) for screen printing, litho printing and a number of other print processes. The transparencies are supplied and the price of printing reflects the cost of the materials.
The cost of printing to these printers is 50 pence per A4 sheet or £1.00 per A3 sheet.

Printing from your own device
It is possible to send files for print to the Pharos printer in a variety of file formats from your own device using the webpage at:

The printing options through PrintMe is limited and for booklet printing, and other specialist forms of printing, you should print from the desktop computers through InDesign and other appropriate specialist software to get the best results.
Please note that all transparency printing jobs need to be sent from DDS computer. Please use the Pharos Transparency Printer option in the list of printers.

Wide format printers are available in the Digital Print Bureau. Machines in the DDS cannot print directly to them but you can prepare your work in the DDS and take the files down the Print Centre in Room 0G5. For more information see the Digital Print area here.
