    MA Graphic Arts: Web Workshop Questionnaire

    Hi.
    This short questionnaire to try and focus the content for a series of 4 half day Web Design technical Workshops scheduled for the following dates:
    • Thursday 10th January:  9:45am - 12:30pm  & 13:30 - 4:00pm
    • Thursday 17th January 9:45am - 12:30pm  & 13:30 - 4:00pm

    There are many pretty good online web authoring systems available.
    WordPress, SquareSpace, Wix, Format, Weebly  to name some of the most popular. Which one is best? Well that's mostly down to personal preference...
    • Can you add the functionality you require?
    • Can you find a template you like?
    • Do you find the interface easy to use?
    Just a few factors to consider. Most of online systems will allow you to set up a site for free but will ask for a fee, if for example, if you require a personalised domain (web address) or would like the option to edit and tweak your chosen template. In the case of the latter you'll more than likely need to understand the basics of HTML, CSS and maybe some Javascript.
    For that reason these 4 sessions will all be based around writing and editing relatively simple code, with the aim of giving a overview of the 'web trinity', which in turn will open up the possibilities of working with 3rd party libraries and frameworks which offer additional functionality and potentially exciting possibilities.

    I'd like to make sure as far as is possible that the content covered over these 4 sessions is interesting and relevant to as many of you as possible - I can't promise to deal with every topic listed below or all suggested topics, but I'll certainly try... So I'd appreciate if you'd take a moment to complete this online form.

    Once I have received your responses I'll circulate details of what I'll attempt to cover for each session so that you can decide beforehand whether or not to attend.
