Printing in the Digital Design Studios
B/W and Colour printing works through the Pharos system, with printers located in 0C02 and 0C01, respectively. Other Pharos printers available in the Library at Bower Ashton. B&W printing is free, while colour printing is charged at the standard rate.

Transparency Printing In The Digital Design Studios
The Pharos BW printers previously situated in 0F011have now moved to 1B09, at Bower Ashton. They operate on a similar system to the Pharos printers in the Library. They print on transparency material (Frosted or Clear) for screen printing, litho printing and a number of other print processes. The transparencies are supplied and the price of printing reflects the cost of the materials.
The cost of printing to these printers is 50 pence per A4 sheet or £1.00 per A3 sheet. The video below outlines the process for sending and printing jobs

Printing from your own device
It is possible to send files for print to the Pharos printer in a variety of file formats from your own device using the webpage at:

The printing options through PrintMe is limited and for booklet printing, and other specialist forms of printing, you should print from the desktop computers through InDesign and other appropriate specialist software to get the best results.
Please note that all transparency printing jobs need to be sent from DDS computer or computers in the publication space located in 0C01 and 0C02. Please use the Pharos Transparency Printer option in the list of printers.

Wide format printers are available in the Digital Print Bureau. Machines in the DDS cannot print directly to them but you can prepare your work in the DDS and take the files down the Print Centre in Room 0C5. For more information see the Digital Print area here.
